Farewell 2013

I know, I know...I'm a little late to the show on this look back, but things got a little thrown off schedule with the move and lack of computer access. So please forgive my belated 2013 retrospective :-)

2013 was a good year - one of new beginnings (the arrival of baby Elijah) and the end of an era (where I finally accepted that Michigan is no longer home for me).

I can't wait to see what 2014 has in store for us!

Cali Peeps

Over the Fourth of July weekend, we had friends in town from California. We had a fun-filled weekend that included a bbq at my parent's house, taking in the local fireworks, a day-trip to Traverse City, a walk along the Muskegon River, a beach day at School Section Lake, and lots and lots of food and ice cream.

Traverse City, Part Two

When we weren’t lounging around our Artist’s Retreat, we also had the chance to explore The Village at Grand Traverse Commons (the former mental institution), head out to the peninsula, walk around downtown and the pier, shop, and eat delicious Mexican food. There is so much to do in Traverse City that we definitely felt like we needed more time. If we ever get rich, we plan to have a summer home there. Traverse City is gorgeous!
