PURIM

I'm so behind on posts. Life has been busy lately and my children have taken to monopolizing my computer, so I'm just now getting around to posting these pictures from our Purim celebrations.

Purim is my favorite Jewish holiday - it's so fun to watch the kids get dressed up and make lots of noise to blot out that scoundrel Haman's name (Booooooo!!!).

We hung out at our synagogue for the Purim play.

Our rabbi dressed up as the "Esther Bunny" :-)

And then we headed over to another local synagogue for the Purim carnival.

It was a blast!! Until next year Haman (BOOOOO!!!)

MERRY & BRIGHT

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

With Shawn in Israel for his brother's wedding, we had a pretty low-key Christmas this year. The boys are so lucky to get both Hanukkah and Christmas. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for the lovely presents!

Grandma made all of the boys personalized pillowcases. Thanks G'ma!

Merry Christmas!!!

ASILOMAR STATE BEACH

One great thing about Shawn's new job is that he works half-days on Fridays, so Fridays have become our "family fun day." This Friday we headed out to Asilomar State Beach in Pacific Grove.

Such a fun day! I CANNOT wait to show my family around when they visit next month.

Also Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!

LIFE (KIND OF) LATELY

Honestly some of these pictures are a little bit old (like from Meg's visit in October), but I have just never gotten around to posting them. Oops!

More Hanukkah fun with friends:

Best latkes ever!!

AND it's Christmas time:

The lovely and talented Meg paid us a visit. Yay!

Farewell brunch with the equally lovely and talented Stephanie. Yay again!

And some pics of my favorite boys in the world:

Thanksgivikkah 2013

We hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving and a wonderful Hanukkah!

Some highlights from our house:

* Celebrating with Noah at school (and seeing him play Goose, Goose, Turkey with his classmates).
* Having obscene amounts of delicious food at my parent's house.
* Playing dreidel with the cousins by the Christmas tree.
* Noah created a game called "Scotchback" with one of his Hanukkah presents (long skinny balloons).
* And Shawn almost burning down the house with his home-made menorrah :-) Luckily we caught it pretty quickly and Shawny was able to run with the flaming mess to the sink and extinguish it. Okay maybe that wasn't quite a high-light...

But, overall, it's been fun!

Dreidel, dreidel, dreidel!
A classic game of Scotchback
