FOURTH WITH FRIENDS

I promised my brother that I'd update last week...and I didn't. So sorry Uncle Wheat Thin! Better late than never, I hope.

It's become a tradition for us to spend the 4th of July with our good friends Elliot and Samantha. And this year we were happy to also spend it with their sweet daughter Leonora. We had a weekend full of barbecuing, beer and wine sampling, and hiking at Garland Regional Park in Carmel Valley (and I somehow managed to only take photos of the hiking trip).

It was great to see them and we so wish they lived closer!

Noah with his buds Leonora and Samantha. We miss you guys! Come visit again soon!

CATCHING UP, VOLUME II

Random bits of fun from the past several months:

A Daddy-designed maze
Sometimes dance parties break out in the family room

And we finally got to meet baby Leonora (Elliot and Samantha's little girl)!!! We took a weekend trip down to San Luis Obispo to meet up with them. Great to see them and great to meet their sweet little girl!

CATCHING UP, VOLUME I

I know it's been FOREVER since I've posted, but my legion of blog fans are requesting an update. And by "legion of fans" I obviously mean grandparents and aunts and uncles of Noah, Isaiah, and Elijah :-)

Wow I don't even know where to begin...so here are a lot of random photos from the last several months. I think I'll have to break this up into a few installments, because we've been busy and I have tons of pictures.

Please enjoy CATCHING UP, VOLUME I

SIX-YEARS-OLD

Noah turned six last week and we had a raging party planned for him over the weekend. Unfortunately, though, our outdoor party had to be moved indoors as it started pouring rain about 10 minutes before the party started.

Luckily we have tons of indoor toys too, so it went all right even though our backyard is definitely the main attraction for the boy's friends.

Eventually the kids could not be held indoors anymore and broke free...

It was a blast! Noah said it was the best birthday so far!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

This was the first year that all three of the boys could really appreciate how awesome Halloween is and we had SO MUCH FUN celebrating!

We kicked off the weekend with a parade at Noah's school.

Isaiah got into the spirit and threw on a ninja costume too.

The night of Halloween my little pirate, ninja, and ghoul were joined by their favorite neighborhood friend Joya and her sweet family for some Trick-or-Treating. And we discovered that our neighborhood goes all out for Halloween.

This house had creepy audio from Pycho playing and a mannequin sitting in the upstairs window looking like Norma Bates. The boys thought it was the coolest thing ever!
