GRANDMA AND GRANDPA

We were really lucky to have my parents out for a visit recently. The boys are crazy about them and they are such a huge help to Shawn and me. We already miss them terribly!

Well, Grandma and Grandpa have left us for the Great Northern Wilds of Michigan. Here are some pictures from our last weekend together before they headed out.

ROCKY BEACH

Lately the boys have been asking to go to the "rocky beach." Here are some pictures of a couple of our most recent rocky beach days.

One of our favorite things about the rocky beach is these little guys. The squirrels there are so tame that they walk right up to you and eat out of your hands. 

THE GOOD LIFE

Do you ever have those weekends that are just so good that you wish they could go on forever? Well, that was last weekend for us.

Some highlights from the weekend included having an awesome family day at our favorite local beach (Asilomar State Beach in Pacific Grove) and traveling to Solvang to meet up with our good friends Elliot and Samantha.

We were so excited to see Samantha's burgeoning baby belly - they're expecting a baby girl and we are soooooooooo happy for them!!!

BIG SUR

Over the weekend we took a family hiking trip out to Big Sur. I love that we live so close to all of this nature-y goodness :-)
