SIX-YEARS-OLD

Noah turned six last week and we had a raging party planned for him over the weekend. Unfortunately, though, our outdoor party had to be moved indoors as it started pouring rain about 10 minutes before the party started.

Luckily we have tons of indoor toys too, so it went all right even though our backyard is definitely the main attraction for the boy's friends.

Eventually the kids could not be held indoors anymore and broke free...

It was a blast! Noah said it was the best birthday so far!

GRANDMA AND GRANDPA

We were really lucky to have my parents out for a visit recently. The boys are crazy about them and they are such a huge help to Shawn and me. We already miss them terribly!

Here's a look at some of our adventures while they were here:

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

Come back soon Grandma and Grandpa!!!

LIFE LATELY

Honestly, some of these are not super recent, but I've been a piss-poor blogger lately and I'm trying to catch up.

These two look like they're up to no good...hide your cookies and juice!

TERRIFIC TWO

My "baby" isn't a baby anymore - Elijah turned 2 on Friday. We celebrated at home with presents and cake and then headed to the San Francisco Zoo.

Nom, nom, nom

What was the most exciting part of the SF Zoo? Definitely the bubble makers!

See this cute hippo? About 10 seconds after I took this picture, it started spraying feces everywhere (by whipping it's tail around whilst pooping). EVERYWHERE! Thank God we were standing back a ways by that point. Such an adorable creature :-)

"Get that camera out of my face Mother!"

Do you remember how I used to have a sweet son named Isaiah? Well, he has been replaced by a terrifying monster. He's going through a bit of a zombie phase right now, can you tell?

FOUR

How in the world am I now the mother of a four and a five year old (not to mention a "baby" that is closing in on two)??

We celebrated Isaiah's fourth birthday on Sunday and Monday. He asked Grandma for a green cake, so we had a very Hulk-like cake on Sunday, store-bought cake on Monday, and Grandma's birthday is tomorrow so it'll be a birthday cake trifecta around here!

 HAPPY BIRTHDAY SWEET ISAIAH BOY!

THANKFUL

Okay so these aren't really pictures from Thanksgiving, but I totally forgot to get the camera out yesterday. Sooooo please enjoy these shots from the belated birthday party we had for Noah the other night.

Grandma and Grandpa are here!!! And they wanted to have a little celebration for Noah since they missed his actual party, so lucky Noah got to celebrate his birthday again.

Since these pictures illustrate so much that I am thankful for, I thought I'd post them for Thanksgiving anyway. I am so unbelievably lucky to have this family!!

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving too!

FIVE

I can't believe my baby boy is already five!!

We recently celebrated Noah's 5th birthday with a little party in the park.

Noah had two requests this year: a remote-controlled car and a dog of his own. He got both.

Meet Suzie - the newest addition to the family!
