2014 IN REVIEW

2014 was truly an eventful year and probably my favorite so far. In 2014, we trekked back across the country to a new life in Central California, explored our new home in the lovely Monterey Bay, bought our forever (or at least for a very long time) home, Shawn turned the big 4-0, and we had some very fun visitors. We cannot wait for what 2015 has in store for us!

Happy 4th of July!
Shawny is 40!
1st day of school
Happy Halloween!
Noah turned 5!
Happy Hanukkah! (this is Noah in costume for a Hanukkah play)
Merry Christmas!

And a very Happy New Year!!!!

MERRY & BRIGHT

Merry Christmas everyone!!!

With Shawn in Israel for his brother's wedding, we had a pretty low-key Christmas this year. The boys are so lucky to get both Hanukkah and Christmas. Thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for the lovely presents!

Grandma made all of the boys personalized pillowcases. Thanks G'ma!

Merry Christmas!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Merry Christmas!! We celebrated yesterday and, as usual, the boys were spoiled rotten. Thanks family!

It was such a fun day, but a little bitter-sweet because it is likely our last Michigan holiday celebration. Once we move, I'm boycotting Michigan during the winter :-)

This year Isaiah is obsessed with all things Jake:

And Noah can't get enough of Curious George and The Smurfs (in fact he has declared that his middle name is now Smurf - Noah Smurf, if you please).

Check out this Christmas dress - what a cutie!

Oh how we'll miss these beautiful people!

Again, Merry Christmas!!!

Love,
Melissa

LIFE (KIND OF) LATELY

Honestly some of these pictures are a little bit old (like from Meg's visit in October), but I have just never gotten around to posting them. Oops!

More Hanukkah fun with friends:

Best latkes ever!!

AND it's Christmas time:

Grandma & Grandpa's tree

The lovely and talented Meg paid us a visit. Yay!

Farewell brunch with the equally lovely and talented Stephanie. Yay again!

And some pics of my favorite boys in the world:

That "favorite boys" thing also includes these guys:

What a handsome Grandpa!
Uncle Wheat Thin!

Christmas 2012

Yesterday my parents were kind enough to host our Christmas celebration. We were also joined by Grandma Poland and cousins Matthew and Brandon. It was a really fun day. The food was delicious and we all had a great time!

Over the weekend, we also visited Lansing (Michigan's capital) for Christmas celebrations with my mother's family and with our biological father's family. I am the worst and forgot to take any pictures at the Poland family Christmas, so please enjoy this picture of the Michigan capital building instead :-)

At the Macias family Christmas, the boys got to take turns trying to break the pinata. Thankfully I remembered to get out my camera for that.
