Celebrity Crush

While out to dinner the other night with my friend Meg and her friend Rachel, the topic of celebrity crushes came up. I mentioned that mine is Joseph Gordon-Levitt and was then surprised to see the look of confusion and horror that passed over Rachel's face. It turns out that she was confusing Joseph Gordon-Levitt with Eugene Levy.

Please note the difference:

....although, come to think of it, Eugene Levy was crazy hot in American Pie :-)

Right Now

Right now I am…

·         Reading: I just finished The House at Tynedford by Natasha Solomons. I’d never heard of this book before and just picked it up on a whim from the library. I ended up loving it. It’s the story of a young Austrian Jewish woman who moves to England just before WWII to work as a maid (and escape the impending war). Really good!

·         Watching: I watched What to Expect When You’re Expecting the other day and the Elizabeth Banks character cracked me up. Like me, her character is a complete hot mess during pregnancy and seeing her melt-down made me feel a little less crazed.

·         Looking forward to: There are almost no words that can describe how excited I am for Season 4 of Arrested Development. They start airing on Netflix on May 25th and I can barely contain myself!!

·         Regretting: I forgot my camera on Mother’s Day, so I don’t have a single picture from our day. My parents hosted a lunch for me and the boys (Shawn was in California). Hope you had a great one Mom!

·         Envying: My friend Stephanie and her boyfriend Edwin recently dropped everything to hike the Pacific Coast Trail from Mexico to Canada. You can follow along with their adventure on her blog, And Everywhere in Between.

·         Craving: Cantaloupe.

Five Years

Friday was our fifth wedding anniversary. Shawn brought home two lovely bouquets of flowers and a card and my parents stopped over with a delicious cake (that I forgot to get any pictures of before we all tore into it).

On Saturday we went out to our favorite local restaurant - Pizzeria Vivo. Their food is amazing!

I totally meant to take pictures of our incredible lunch (we had goat cheese dip with toasted crostini, a side of baked mac and cheese, and pesto veggie pizza). It was delicious! So delicious, in fact, that this is all that remained by the the time that I remembered to snap a picture. Oops!

And, finally, what could be more romantic than taking in a film together?

For the record, Shawn is not a horror film fan and was not amused, but he went along because I LOVE Evil Dead and I was so excited to see the remake. Go see it! Maybe not for your anniversary though :-)
